Edith Nesbit had a way with words. I'm not sure I can find a better way to describe how I've been feeling about this blog.
I used to visit every day, but I rarely do so now, and as the days go on, I have an uneasy feeling about that. It seems ungrateful.
I used to love it so - the worlds it helped me uncover, the people it helped me meet, the conversations I used to have.
And so, a little like the Railway Children, I thought I'd come back and wave - wondering if anyone still passes by and hoping that someone out there might wave back.

Well hello, old friend! I'm waving from across the Atlantic and so happy to see your words. Come back and play. We've missed you around here. I'm busy writing (Soon to be published in the Boston Globe-shameful plug here.) And busy writing what I hope will be a book length memoir and one day, in hopefully the near future, visiting London again.

I hit a rough patch with blogging a few months back, while I was focusing on my twelfth grade finals. Aced them, graduated from school, secured a seat in a great college for an Integrated MA (English/Economics)... so I'm pretty much fine. A bit nervous about leaving the nest, though.

Hi, Sharon. I'm glad that you have posted again. I've only blogged once or twice a month lately, and not very ambitious posts, because I've been writing a book. I think many of us have to let things ebb and flow once in a while. But I do hope you return. Maybe try a different format, e.g., 50-word posts or observation of the day or whatever, if that helps. But I love your well crafted stories about life.
I guess it takes quite a bit of hard work to write each piece, Sharon. Maybe you wonder if it's worthwhile. Suppose you have to judge if you enjoy the effort, or if you could spend the time doing something else more worthwhile. But don't ever doubt if viewers enjoy reading your posts. Each one is like a little gem, a sparkle in the early morning when I read. Inspires me to write better.
